I am always open to interacting with young students, supporting and providing guidance in my limited capacity, especially those from resource-constrained or less privileged backgrounds. I encourage you to ask questions and reach out to me through my email at arnabpc [dot] oshin 94 at gmail [dot] com
Hi, I am a Co-founder at Viksit Labs Foundation, where we work towards SDGs at the grassroots primarily using technology interventions.
My work primarily involves evaluating and developing technologies for the underserved that bring about large-scale positive social impact. My core research areas and interests are in the domains of HCI, HAI, ICTD, AI for Social Good, and Agro-climatic forecasting & informatics.
I have been a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the IWMI-Tata Program (ITP) of the International Water Management Institute, a CGIAR Research Institute advised by Dr Tushaar Shah, where I studied solarization of Indian agriculture, WEF nexus and groundwater usage in Indian agriculture using data from National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), India and remote monitoring data on Gujarat's Suryashakti Kisan Yojana (SKY) - World’s largest pilot on grid-connected Solar Irrigation Pumps. Before this, I worked as a Research Investigator at IIT Kharagpur as an ICMR-IIT KGP Biodesign Fellow where I worked to identify needs in the medical sector of rural India. Before that, I interned at Microsoft Research Lab India where I was advised by Dr Kalika Bali and Dr Aditya Vashistha, where my work involved examining misinformation in rural India. I received my Master's Degree (M.Tech) in Rural Technology from IIT Guwahati in 2022 where I was advised by Prof Sudip Mitra and my Bachelor's Degree (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering from IGIT, Sarang in 2016. I also worked as an Associate Consultant in Wipro Limited between my Masters and Bachelors for around 5 years.
When I am not working or writing code,
I spend time learning to play musical instruments or sing along with my guitar to rekindle my early childhood education in Hindustani Classical music. Here is my improvisation on Anandaloke Mangalaloke by Rabindranath Tagore on a guitar. When I am super bored I spend time thinking about the Collatz conjecture (3n+1).
